Panasonic has released a new series of multi-format HD/SD LCD monitors, from the lightweight 8.4" BT-LH900 to the Widescreen 17". These monitors, in addition to their flexibility in terms of formats, the numerous inputs and outputs, and their high resolution, stand out furthest from their competition due to their promise of true WISIWIG.
WISIWIG, or What-you-see-is-what-you-get, is difficult to find on most LCD monitors. Panasonic's new displays, however, use a technology called colour space conversion to precisely match the colour to the true colour of the media.
One powerful application of this is the built in CineGamma (Film-Rec) compensation expressly for DVCPROHD Varicam monitoring. See exactly what is being recorded by the camera!
If this wasn't enough, Panasonic adjusts their monitors individually through 256 steps of gradation for R, G and B colour channels in order to garantee perfect colour every time.
