Omneon Spectrum™ HD
The new Omneon Spectrum HD media server combines high-quality HD playout capability with flexible features to allow facilities to efficiently migrate to HD broadcasting. HD MediaPort playout modules can support one or two channels of HD MPEG playout of 4:2:0 and 4:2:2 material at bit rates up to 78 Megabits per second, beyond that of any other media server available today. The Omneon Spectrum HD also lets you work with today’s high-quality encoders which may already be deployed in your playout center. And since the Omneon HD Spectrum handles DVB/ASI streams, your network feed can be ingested directly into the media server for playout. Combine all this with the Smart Scalability™ of all Omneon Spectrum systems to scale channels, storage, bandwidth and redundancy independently in smart manageable increments, and you have a system that integrates seamlessly with your current encoding choices, supports your HD strategy, encompasses your SD requirements and can grow along with your facility.

Omneon MultiPort 4100 Series
The MultiPort 4100 Series supports simultaneous playback of both SD and HD MPEG-2 material. In addition to its MPEG-2 decoding capability, this family of media interface components provides built-in up- and down-conversion enabling broadcasters to mix HD and SD material on the same timeline, with synchronized continuous HD and SD outputs.

The MultiPort 4000 series combines the modular design and reliability for which Omneon Spectrum™ components are known, with support for a broad range of HD bit rates, profiles and even external converters. HD MultiPorts can be included in initial configurations or added to Omneon server systems already on-line.

4010 Ingest Module
The MediaPort 4010 provides an integrated ingest solution for HD MPEG content that simplifies workflow and reduces time to air. By combining MPEG transport stream ingest and de-multiplexing in a single unit, the Omneon MediaPort 4010 allow you move directly to a file-based workflow. It supports direct ingest of ASI streams via backhaul feeds up to 100 Mbps.
